Rules and Regulations

                                                       COLLEGE HOURS                                                          
  • Classes are generally held from 11-15 a.m. to 4-30 p.m. But as it is a training College, trainees have to stay for a longer period if required.
  • The College Office remains open from 10-30 a.m. to 5p.m.
  • The College Library remains open from 10-30 a.m. to 5p.m.
  • Class hours, office hours and library hours may be changed to suit the academic interest and purpose of the trainees.


                                                         ATTENDANCE                                                              
  • Regularity and punctuality in attendance and taking classes are the qualities of a good teacher. So trainees are to be regular and punctual in attendance. On their arrival they are to put their full signature and time of arrival. Before leaving the college they have to note the time of departure. If anybody is to leave the College compound earlier, he / she is required to inform the Principal in writing before doing so. Any violation of this system is a serious breach of discipline.
  • To be Collegiate trainees are to attend 75% of the lectures delivered in each subject. If they fail to attend 60% of the lectures delivered, they are considered discollegiate and do not qualify for appearing at the Final Examination. This rule is strictly adhered to.


                                                                 LEAVE                                                                  
  • Deputed teachers, on application, may be granted casual leave for 12 (twelve) days and also medical leave for 12 (twelve) days during their training period. Trainees, both the deputed and the fresher, are to submit applications for their absence on the very first day of their joining the class after their absence. Medical Certificates are to be submitted in case of Medical leave.

                                                             DRESSES                                                                 
  • Trainees must have to wear proper uniform in each day otherwise no attendance shall be given on that day.
  • Male: Shirt & Pant / Dhuti & Punjabi.
  • Female: Saree/ Salawar.


                                                        LIST OF HOLIDAYS                                                       
  • Institutional Calendar is prepared generally in the month of June. The college follows the Holiday list of the West Bengal State University Barasat.
  • The session commences on the 1st July and continues up to the 15th May of the next year.




EXAMINATION

                                                          EXAMINATION                                                             
  • Mid Term Examination is held generally in December.
  • Besides Mid Term Examination, several Periodical Examinations are held by different Departments.
  • Final University Examination is generally held in June- July of every year.

FACILITIES

                                                    COLLEGE HOSTEL                                                             
  • To impart a residential character to our institution’ a hostel for the male Trainees is run in the College Campus.
  • To impart a residential character to our institution’ a hostel for the female Trainees is being under planning in the College Campus.
  • Hostellers will get a leaflet containing the rules & regulations to be followed by them at the beginning of every Session.
                                                   COLLEGE CANTEEN                                                            
  • The College has its own canteen. All kinds of fresh foods like egg, bread, tea, biscuit, hand-made bread etc. are available at very lower cost.
  • The canteen serves during College Hours.
                                              CYCLE & MOTOR CYCLE GARAGE                                         
  • Well shaded and well protected cycle and motor cycle garage with guard.
  • The garage is open during College Hours.

A great swimming pool is going to be constructed at the back side of the college under VISION 2015.

The college maintains a beautiful garden in the front side of the college. There is mali to maintain the garden.

With a view to enthuse the trainees, several Prizes/ Certificates/Endowments have been offered by Prof. Kamala Sengupta, ex-Lecturer of the College in memory of her Father, Mother and Husband. Over and above, the College authority offers Prizes/Certificates/Free Studentship/ Assistance to the poor and the meritorious trainees and two prizes for the best library users (one each from the deputed & fresher trainees) of the College.

  • The above mentioned awards shall be handed over to the recipients on 31 st August every year, The 'Foundation Day' of the college.

Teacher Training is an active Process and means a life of discipline to be lived. Trainees are to be disciplined in every respect.

Trainees of this College are to inculcate constructive and nationalistic attitude and cultivate some positive values.

Trainees are to develop the qualities of a successful teacher.

Trainees are required to be interested in academic thoughts, discussions and activities. They are to judge everything from academic point of view and eschew everything unacademic.
